About Me and my furry family
I am City and Guilds level 3 Introductory Dog Grooming qualified. I have always been completely obsessed about dogs from a very young age, so figured this would be the perfect job for me!
I am currently owned by five dogs, and two ferrets, all of whom I adore.
Coco is a Chihuahua x Daschund and is eight years old, I got him at ten weeks old and the circumstances seemed like fate that he should be in my life. And I'm so glad he is he is such a little character and makes us laugh daily! His favourite things are teatime and bedtime, he likes to go out for walks but wears one of his hoodies or puffer jackets when its cold, he is at his happiest in his fleece snuggle sack!
Paddy is a Jack Russell who we got when he was eight weeks old, he is now five years young! My husband had always wanted a dog and fell in love with Paddy's photograph, so off to Wales we went! Paddy's favourite things are kissing (everyone and everything), going for long walks, running with his Dad and biscuit bones! He has completed a 16 mile race and has his very own medal to prove it!
We got Poppy at seven weeks old (too young really I know) she is a Jack Russell x Chihuahua x Yorkie. She has the sweetest little character and a beautiful fluffy coat which was perfect for me to start practicing my dog grooming on, I call her my little show pony! Her favourite things are to go on lovely muddy walks and get as dirty as possible, play fetch with her favourite cuddly bunny and obsessively follow my youngest ferret Bana around!
We rehomed our darling pomerainian Foxy aged two, from a lady who could no longer care for her. She is five years old and a tiny 3.6kg, although she thinks shes the size of Rottweiler! Her favourite things to do are boss everyone in the house around (especially poor Blu the cat), run on the beach and lay on her mummy's big elephant pillow! She has seizures which she is now on medication for and I will be writing a blog about this at some point, these are obviously distressing to watch but the medicine does seem to be helping.
And last but not least my darling Buddy who only at the beginning of this year was given to me by a customer. He is a 2 year old Griffon. He really enjoys being at the salon with me, so if you do come to me to have your dog pampered you may well meet him! He's a very chilled out, happy go lucky chap, who now has so many new doggie friends I've lost count! And endless offers from customers saying 'If Buddy ever needs a home........' He will never need another home again, he has me for life now and I feel very lucky that he fell into mine! Buddy has opened my eyes to new ventures and I am currently looking into courses for Reki, where with the owners and the dogs vets permission I will be able to perform reki healing. Watch this space for updates I am feeling very excited about this added service I will be able to offer in the future.
Loki is my eldest ferret who is 8 months old, he enjoys plodding around the garden watching all the other animals get out of his way! He loves playing with his little brother Bana and sometimes the dogs, he enjoys snuggling in his fleece blankets, playing in cardboard boxes and eating his ferret kibble!
Bana is my baby ferret at 6 months old. He enjoys rolling around, a lot of rolling around! Playing with his big brother Loki and his big dog sister Poppy, running and bouncing around the garden like a loony and eating his raw meat!
I adore every one of my animals and am so proud of them all getting along together. They are mine and my husband David's family, and we wouldn't be without them!
I know how important peoples pets are to them and I treat every dog that comes into my salon whether it be for a full groom, or just to have their nails cut, as I would like someone to treat my animals. With respect, compassion, patience and kindness.
